Kelso is implementing a PBIS [Positive Behavior Intervention and Support]
On December 14, 2015 Kelso Principal Dr. Brian Coffey accepted a donation in the amount of $711 from 7-Eleven, Inc. representative Mohamed Mustafa. Says Dr. Coffey, “7-Eleven has a branch down the street from Kelso where our families shop and even work, and its great to have a strong community partnership with them.” Dr. Coffey plans to use the donation as an example for students about generosity and philanthropy. “Kelso is implementing a PBIS [Positive Behavior Intervention and Support] initiative this school year that is centered around the school’s core values of Kelso PRIDE [Positive attitude – Respect – Integrity – Diligence – Excellence]. This donation and the support from 7-Eleven present great teachable moments for our students that exemplify our core values.” 7-Eleven’s donation was a generous gift that kicked off the holiday season at Kelso in grand fashion.
